Location and accessibility

Location: Flanders Expo Ghent - Hall 1 - ground floor - Maaltekouter 1, 9051 Ghent

The fair is open to visitors from 1 until 7 pm.

We recommend using public transport or cycling to the fair.

By public transport

Bus lines 76, 77 and 78 connect the centre of Ghent with Flanders Expo. Plan your trip with De Lijn route planner.

By bike

If you are coming from Gent-Sint-Pieters station, simply follow the directional signs. Bicycle racks will be available near the entrance of Hall 1. You can plan your cycling route using the City of Ghent's bicycle route planner (in Dutch).

By car

Visitors can park in car park A3, which is within walking distance of the entrance of Hall 1. A parking ticket costs €8 (1-3hrs) and €11 (> 3hrs).

Access to the fair

Access to the fair is free for all visitors. However, prior registration is required to avoid queues at the entrance.

  • Students, alumni, and others can register here.
  • PhD candidates and postdocs can register here.

Haven’t registered in advance? You can still visit the fair and register on-site, but please note that this may involve waiting in line.

To enter the fair, you will need your personal QR code. Please have your registration form with the QR code ready - either printed or on your smartphone - at the entrance to Hall 1 of Flanders Expo. Your registration form was sent to you by email, but it can also be found in your dashboard.

Please note that lockers and a cloakroom will not be available. We recommend leaving large bags and backpacks at home.

Visitor badge

Upon entering the fair, you will receive a personalised visitor badge!

If you wish, you can digitally share your CV with companies and organisations on-site using the personal QR code on your badge. To do so, you must register in advance, log in, and upload your CV to your dashboard.

The purpose of the visitor badge is to facilitate networking with attending companies and organisations. The colours on your badge indicate your field of study or discipline, as well as the job market sectors you are interested in. Participating companies and organisations can use these colours to identify visitors who may be of interest to them.

As a visitor, you can also use the same colour codes to find out which profiles companies and organisations are looking for. These colour dots can be found on the side panel of each booth and on the A4 display inside the booth.

Catering

During the fair drinks and light bites be purchased in the catering area at the back of the hall.

TIPS

  • More than 250 companies and organisations will be participating in the fair. It’s important to check the exhibitor list in advance, find out where they are located on the exhibition floor, and see which profiles they are looking for.

Keep in mind that the fair consists of multiple zones: the general job market, the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers, the Ghent Capital of Technology corner, the North Sea Port Talent corner, the TechTransfer & Gentrepreneur lane, and the lifelong learning fair. Make sure to explore those zones and companies/organisations that interest you.

  • Associate degree students, BAs, and MAs can have a 20-minute career talk with a coach or an AMAL ambassador on 26 March. AMAL, the agency for integration, supports non-native newcomers and organizations in Ghent.

  • Check out the range of accompanying presentations offered at the Speakers’ Corner and the PhD Career Insights Corner.
